Our Blankets are designed to provide direct pressure to the whole body to aid in sensory modulation. The weight system is designed for easy adjustment of weight and removal for cleaning. A typical blanket consists of 5 rows with 8 columns of pockets, and weighs 5 lbs, however custom blankets can be ordered through the website or brochure. The weights can be distributed evenly amongst the pockets or can be adjusted to fit the needs of the child. The pockets are designed as double shams so the weighted bags will not fall out during regular use. Popcorn kernels are used as the weight source, sewn into bags and secured with a double stitched seam. A variety of fabrics, patterns and weight material can be custom ordered based on the needs of the child. |
